Newest mulchers offer versatility and power

Rayco (1)
Rayco’s C200 mulcher is powered by a 200-hp Isuzu diesel engine and tips the scales at only 18,500 lbs. Due to its smaller size and weight the C200 is easily transported to and from the job. Its narrow profile makes the C200 the ultimate solution for ROW clearing on narrow lines as well as for use in larger scale clearing projects. The C200 rides on a hi-track, steel undercarriage available with two-speed travel and is available with 20-foot, single-grouser tracks for extreme traction or triple-grouser street pads for applications that require minimal soil disturbance. Because it’s purpose-built, the C200 is loaded with features operators appreciate.

PrimeTech (2)
PrimeTech has introduced its new, service friendly and accessible purpose-built PT-475 tracked carrier. This 475-hp unit can be equipped with a mulching head, subsoiler, rock crusher and stump cutter. All the attachments, made by FAE, can be switched easily and quickly, allowing you to use PT-475 for land clearing and mulching applications as well as for land conversion and for road construction and maintenance. PT-475 includes a powerful hydraulic system, with Danfoss pumps and motors for track and front attachment drives. An oscillating undercarriage Berco D5HD adapts perfectly to uneven surfaces, and features an extremely low ground pressure of only 4.95 psi.

Gyro-Trac (9)
Why mulch? While cutting rights of way for power transmission and seismic survey lines for oil exploration, Gyro-Trac introduced “low ground pressure” mulching 21 years ago, impacting the way land is cleared, narrowing cut paths, saving trees and eliminating burning. In the U.S., federal/state agencies use Gyro-Tracs to clear firebreaks and mitigate invasive species without damaging soils, leaving small mulch that won’t wick fire. The 350hp GT35 mulcher is Gyro-Trac’s flagship machine, utilizing cloud based command and control with the massively productive Sabre-Tooth mulching technology. Made in Canada, Gyro-Trac manufactures extremely efficient land clearing mulchers, and now offers the harvesting of woody biomass with its Bio-Energy Baler.

FAE Group (10)
The FAE Group offers a complete range of PTO- and hydraulic-driven mulching heads to suit the needs of any operation. PTO-driven mulching heads for three-point tractor mount are ideal for brush cutting, underbrush, branches, wildfire prevention and all types of land clearing. Hydraulic driven heads can be used on excavators and skid steers, including heavy-duty forestry mulchers to meet the needs of any contractor.

Advanced Forest Equipment Inc. (11)
The SS ECO is one of Advanced Forest Equipment Inc.’s most popular mulchers. A unique feature to the SS ECO is the design of the reduction shroud system which forces the material through the reduction shroud system. The material less than 5” in diameter is cut and pulled into the reduction shroud system resulting in a one-step process. Another unique feature of the SS ECO is being able to see the cutting teeth engaging the material that it’s mulching; this allows the operator to avoid foreign debris.
