Changes to Elmia’s forestry sector

October 8, 2015 - A long-term colleague whose work duties have included managing Elmia’s forestry fairs, Torbjörn Johnsen, has now decided to move on.

“Elmia has developed a fabulous position as the world leader in forestry fairs,” he says. “I’ve been fortunate to work for many years for a terrific company with interesting and stimulating activities and pleasant colleagues. It’s been a long journey that has been stimulating and challenging and offered many opportunities for skills development. Like all journeys, this one also has an end and after careful consideration I have now decided to do something else in life.”

Johnsen has worked for Elmia for 24 years, most recently as head of the new development department leading Elmia towards digital development.

“I would like to thank Torbjörn for all his years at Elmia and for his outstanding work in which for many years he has guided our forestry sector to achieve a leading position both nationally and internationally,” said Robert Sumberesi, CEO of Elmia AB. “Most recently he has played other roles in the company, both as head of marketing and communications and as head of development. The forestry sector is very exciting and is now has a strong foundation in our trade fair team. We will now be recruiting both internally and externally for a forestry business manager to add to this team. The position will be very stimulating and offer many opportunities for skills development.”

Johnsen leaves his position with Elmia AB at the end of December.
