Consulting firm suggests millennials should consider forestry
August 27, 2015 – A consulting firm focused on workplace culture is suggesting that millennials should give serious consideration to a career in forestry.

According to a Report on Business Commentary provided by the owners of Gen Y Inc., which has offices in Calgary, Edmonton and London, forestry is one of the sectors they have identified as having promise for the next generation workforce.
The commentary cited a recent statistic provided by the Forest Products Association of Canada that 60,000 new workers are needed in the forest and pulp industry by the year 2020. The article also noted that forestry, along with agriculture and manufacturing, provide “many opportunities for early and consistent professional development.”
