U.S. Great Lakes Region recovering

Aug 30, 2013, Sugar Land, Texas - The Great Lakes region has struggled to recover from the recession ever since it officially ended. However, the region did not give up hope; after all, it had seen tough times before. The region's employment and manufacturing base have slowly improved, to the point where spending is almost back in line with pre-recession numbers. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter of the year, $8 billion in capital and maintenance projects are scheduled to begin construction in the Great Lakes region.
