$170K towards Alberta flood relief

July 19, 2013, Edmonton, Alta. – Finning Canada and the Caterpillar Foundation donated $170,000 to provide relief for the areas in southern Alberta impacted by the recent flooding.

Funds will go towards The Calgary Foundation's Flood Rebuilding Fund and The Red Cross. Finning employees showcased their spirit of generosity adding $20,000 to the corporate donation of $150,000.

"These donations will support two worthwhile causes - the Red Cross that is working around-the-clock to meet the immediate needs of residents and the Flood Rebuilding Fund that will assist in the long-term needs in Calgary, Canmore, High River and surrounding First Nation communities,” said Andy Fraser, Finning Canada president.

In addition to the donation, Finning and Cat Rental Store employees have assisted with flood response through the deployment of a wide range of products and services such as generators, pumps, fans and light towers, as well as technicians to keep emergency management organizations and customers operating throughout Calgary, High River and Medicine Hat.

Drawing upon the inventory and skilled technicians from across the dealer's western Canadian territory, Finning will continue to partner with its customers to help affected areas.
