212 wildfires currently burning in BC

British Columbia is currently dealing with 212 wildfires in the province, as lightning storms raise the risk in many areas.

According to CTV News, at least 24 of those fires are believed to have been caused by lightning and two by human activity.

Much of the province is still seeing soaring temperatures and strong winds. The fire that destroyed Lytton, B.C., has now burned 76 square kilometres, while the Sparks Lake wildfire has burned 392 square kilometres.
