A bright future for Ontario forestry?
June 13, 2016 – The president and CEO of the Ontario Forest Industries Association believes that the future looks bright for its members.

According to an article in the Timmins Press, Jamie Lim says that the strong U.S. economy and a rebound in the housing markets is a positive sign for the forest industry in Ontario.
She hopes that, with support from the Ontario government, U.S. markets will be encouraged to look to Ontario for wood products, which would also help to grow the industry in the province. However, Lim cautioned that the industry’s ability to export forest products to the U.S. market would depend on the government’s continued efforts to address competitive challenges.
