A Canadian first: truck platooning on forest roads

Dec. 24, 2018 – This past November, FPInnovations and its partners took truck platooning research a giant step further and earned a spot in history by successfully road testing the emerging technology in the deep forests of Quebec in the first trial of its kind in Canada. The trial is part of a joint research project in collaboration with Transport Canada, Alabama’s Auburn University, and Resolute Forest Products.
