Acadian Timber up for sale?

February 4, 2015 - Acadian Timber Corp. could be up for sale, for the right price. According to a recent news release, the company’s board of directors recently performed a review of strategic alternatives, which included “a sale of all or parts of its business, a merger or other business combination or other strategic transaction.”

The company’s board of directors has formed a special committee and has engaged Scotiabank as its financial advisor to assist in this process. The review process was not initiated in response to a proposed transaction.

“The company does not intend to provide further updates on its strategic review until such time as the board of directors determines is appropriate,” the company stated. “There can be no guarantee that this review will result in a transaction, or if a transaction is undertaken, as to its terms or timing.”
