Another Canfor veteran joins Catalyst Paper

March 11, 2016 - Catalyst Paper has appointed Sean Curran senior vice-president, sales and marketing, effective April 18. He replaces Jim Bayles, who will retire on April 1.

Curran was formerly vice-president, sales and marketing with Canfor, a B.C.-based forest products company. Joe Nemeth, president and CEO of Catalyst Paper, is another Canfor veteran, having led that company’s pulp products segment.

Curran has nearly 30 years of experience in global pulp, paper and energy markets. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from York University and a business administration certificate from the University of New Brunswick. 

Catalyst Paper manufactures diverse printing papers and market pulp from five mills across North America.
