Borland Creek Logging wins Williams Lake logging and fuel treatment contract

Borland Creek Logging has been awarded a contract from Williams Lake, B.C. for logging burned stands and doing fuel treatment work at the Williams Lake Regional Airport.

According to My Cariboo Now, the contract is for $109,894. Borland Creek will log the 18.8 hectares of burnt stands and fuel treatment work in the area. The stands were burned in a wildfire in 2017.

An estimated 1,000 cubic metres of sawlogs will be harvested, along with 200 cubic metres of biomass logs. Williams Lake plans to sell the logs for approximately $71,600, which will help pay for the treatment.
