Canada prepared to litigate if SLA not reached: minister
Oct. 3, 2016 - Canada is prepared for litigation if the U.S. imposes duties on soft wood lumber, Canada's trade minister said in advance of a meeting this week between Canada's soft wood lumber executives and the U.S. trade ambassador.

Federal International Trade Minister Chrystia Freeland said the government will continue negotiations, but if they fail to reach a good deal for Canadians, they are prepared to litigate.
