Cause of B.C. mill explosion known

May 9, 2013, – A British Columbia Safety Authority investigation report concluded that the cause of a deadly explosion at Babine Forest Products four months ago was failure to recognize and manage the explosive risks of wood dust.

The report, obtained by the Vancouver Sun, provides the first details of investigations into the explosion that killed two workers and injured 20 others on Jan. 20, 2012 at the mill near Burns Lake in northern B.C.
