Advanced Forest Equipment (AFE) has introduced a new high performance  mulcher called the Eco Mulcher. The mulching attachments from this Eco Line have universal mounting plates to attach the components to either a skid steer or an excavator, and allow for easy switches between brands (such as CAT or John Deere) with the same mounting system. This plug-and-play technology is built to work under a variety of demanding conditions.

AFE prides itself on providing the best technology, highest quality parts and master craftsmen knowledge with every purchase.  The Eco Mulcher is manufactured in the U.S.A.

Davco’s newest offering is the Pacu 5 Mulcher, which features universal quick attach with Davco Saftey Locks and Anti-Cavitation Protection. The Pacu 5 is direct driven on both ends for a better loader balance, with no pulleys, no belts and no planetary drive. The side plate horns for positioning deadfall, moving objects out of the way, as well as aiding in containing the mulch for a safer operation and a finer finish. By mounting the hose plumbing on the left, closer to the quick couplers, excessive hose lengths have been reduced between the head and the carrier and this makes getting into and out of the cab easier. The curved brush guide pulls the lighter brush in toward the centre of the head, letting the rotating patented drum grab the brush for easier and finer finish without having to make multiple passes.

Performance gained with an oscillating all steel undercarriage and selectable float control, along with the Fecon BH300 hydraulic Bull Hog mulching head, sets a new standard in production. Features of the FTX600 service oriented design include easy-to-reach service points (all from ground level), large compartment doors and field service designed component positioning.

According to Gyro-Trac, the GT-25XP with its 260-horsepower Tier III Turbo Diesel, powerful hydraulic pumps and the latest cutter-head technology outperforms any comparable 40,000 lb.+, 400 to 600 hp mulcher with steel tracks and carbide tipped hammer teeth. The GT-25XP chips away at hardwoods and softwoods of almost any size, including difficult ironwood, hickory, Australian hardwood, petrified oak and more.

These machines are powered by 250HP to 400HP Diesel Engines and are driven by Poclain Hydrostatic Track Drive Motors and Sauer Danfoss Hydraulics. The unique KMC Torsion Bar Suspension and “live” Steel Track System is designed to work on steep slopes, wet/boggy ground and environmentally sensitive soils. The KMC 1000H/2000H –
Hydrostatic Drive Steel Tracked Vehicles can be adapted to carry many different attachments either front mounted or rear mounted. The independent Torsion Bar Suspension System makes for a smoother ride while allowing the track to conform to the terrain – more track on the surface creates less soil compaction and more tractive effort.

The Seismic Series features such benefits as a dedicated carrier, designed with 8WD drive bogie axles, on an articulated/oscillating high strength frame, giving the operator excellent mobility through marginal to severe terrain conditions. In cases where more traction and/or higher flotation is required, forestry tracks can be added, without any modifications to the vehicle, offering the customer the best of both worlds. Specs include a choice of 275, 350, 440 and 700 HP engines; a 6’3″(1.9m) to 10’10″(3.3m) wide frame;  and a hydrostatic-mechanical transmission capable of up to 15 mph.

Nokamic’s mulching head offers extreme mulching power from Nokamic’s unique hybrid rotor (steel teeth or carbide hammers). Cutting tools, rotor rpm and torque can be selected for specific applications.
