Chinook Community Forest a success in Burns Lake
Aug. 16, 2017 - After a year of operation in Burns Lake, B.C., the Chinook Community Forest is being hailed as a success for the community and shareholders.

The forest generated a net profit of $1.6 million, 30 per cent of which was distributed to six local First Nations, the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, and the Village of Burns Lake.
“We logged a year’s worth of fibre in three and a half months,” Ken Nielsen, Chinook’s interim general manager, told BCLocalNews.com.
