Cochrane to attract skilled workers

Apr. 21, 2014 – The Ontario government is providing funding through the Rural Economic Development (RED) program to support a number of community projects in northeastern Ontario. One of these programs is to develop a marketing strategy in Cochrane focused on attracting skilled workers.

Located an hour and a half from Timmins in Northern Ontario, the town's main industries are tourism and forestry. Tembec has a softwood lumber sawmill and wood chip operation in Cochrane with a 120 employees.
