Cottles Island to resume operations

April 23, 2015 – Cottles Island Lumber in central Newfoundland plans to resume operations after a fire ripped through the company’s main warehouse earlier this month.

According to the CBC, an interim operating plan is in place that will allow the company to resume operations this week. Temporary equipment has been brought onto the site that will allow the company to get back to business, including a new boiler and forklifts.

The early morning fire on April 8th destroyed the company’s main warehouse, including almost all of the equipment inside the building.
