Critics worried about N.S. clear cutting policy
Aug. 26, 2016 - A member of an expert panel that examined management of Nova Scotia’s natural resources in 2011 told The Canadian Press he's concerned that the province's clear cutting policy is unsustainable.

Allan Shaw, chairman of the Shaw group of companies, says Nova Scotia is moving away from its strategy to improve forest management and reduce clear cutting.
The province is expected to release a new Crown land forest policy in the fall.
