Resolute Forest Products has extended downtime at its sawmill in Ignace, Ont., until July, as a result of deteriorating market conditions and a problem with the sawmill’s kilns.
According to Tbnewswatch, the mill was initially shutdown around April 11 due to a shortage of logs, thanks to wet weather for several months. The company planned to reopen the mill this week.
TBnewswatch reports that while the mill will resume production in July, the kilns will be out of service until mid-September.
