EACOM welcomes 2016 Ontario budget

February 26, 2016 – EACOM Timber Corp. has released a public statement in support of the new Ontario budget, delivered February 25th by Minister of Finance Charles Sousa.

Here is the statement provided by EACOM:

EACOM Timber Corporation is pleased to welcome the 2016 Ontario provincial budget, delivered today by Finance Minister Charles Sousa.

EACOM is especially pleased with Premier Wynne’s sustained commitment of $60 million in public resource access roads funding for 2016-17. This funding demonstrates the Government’s support for building and maintaining public resource access roads in Northern and rural Ontario that benefit all Ontarians.

“We’d like to thank Minister Bill Mauro and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry for their continued support of Ontario’s forest products sector,” said Kevin Edgson, President and CEO of EACOM Timber Corporation. “Our forest products sector is a world leader in innovation, trade, diversification, and sustainability. The support provided in the 2016 budget will help to strengthen Ontario’s industry, and create stability for our people and the communities in which we work.”
