EACOM’s Timmins mill temporarily closed due to COVID-19 cases

EACOM Timber Corporation has closed its Timmins, Ont., sawmill temporarily after four employees tested positive for COVID-19.
According to CTV News, the decision to shut down was voluntary to ensure the safety of the company’s 132 employees at the mill.
It’s unknown how long the shut down will last. The company was found to be following all COVID health and safety protocols, and is conducting a second COVID screening of its workers at the mill.
