Elmia Wood from May 18-21, 2021 will be hosted in the timberlands of Småland, 30 kilometres south of Jönköping, Sweden. The site at Bratteborg has everything you can wish for when conducting a forestry fair where the latest technologies, as well as live demonstrations and testing, are being manifested. In short, the potential for continuous development of Elmia Wood is great.
The land and infrastructure of the Bratteborg venue meets the high demand for access and exit roads, plenty of parking space, open areas for stands as well as for service functions such as electricity, WiFi and broadband. But most importantly, the timberland available for live demonstrations is unprecedented.
“The growth potential of Elmia Wood continues to be great, not least in terms of increased international interest,” said Mattias Pontén, project manager, Elmia Wood. “The close collaboration with the landowner of site Bratteborg, Sandahlsbolagen (Sandahl Group), is an important enabler for further international expansion.”
Elmia Wood – in the middle of the woods of Småland, Sweden
The site at Bratteborg is a large property. The fair ground comprises 150 hectares of timberland, farmland and open areas. For Elmia Wood 2021, the venue will cover new sections not previously utilized during Elmia Wood. New technology enables precision forestry. Forestry used to be about stands or hectares. By utilizing the latest technologies, we now have data about all of the 47,000 trees at our fair ground. Thus, the availability of timberland ready for felling at subsequent fairs is plentiful. This enables continued live demonstrations of machinery and equipment in its intended environment.
“Further information on how we will utilize the potential of that reside within the Bratteborg venue will follow after conducting SkogsElmia from June 6-8, 2019,” Pontén said.
