Bandit Industries’ Model 3680XP is the most popular model in The Beast lineup. With its 35-inch tall by 60-inch wide opening, patented downward turning cuttermill, and specialized cutting instruments, The Beast cuts more than it grinds, producing more material using less energy and delivering material at a lower cost per ton or yard. A wide array of tooth options are available to cut, split or grind, delivering a uniform product for a multitude of markets.
Brunette Machinery’s Whole Log Chipper is a horizontal feed chipper with a powered upper press roll and powered lower bedroll to control the feed of the logs to give a high quality chip. Two rotors are available – the standard rotor for up to 1¼˝ nominal pulp chip, and the new MicroChip rotor which is designed to produce a 1/4˝ nominal chip. Each rotor can be outfitted with the standard Brunette quick-change knife system or the ‘disposable’ Key Knife system. The Brunette Whole Log Chipper includes a common sub-frame which ties the infeed, chipper, motor, and HPU together for rigidity, and one lift installation. The Brunette Drum Chipper is available in various sizes and model configurations to suit.

USNR’s Wastewood Chipper is a powerhouse that comes in four sizes and three configurations, handling logs from 11”- 22” diameters. Basic horizontal feeding needs no special installation layout, while gravity feeding handles high volumes. The J-spout design has a higher capacity typically fed by a vibrating conveyor. All models accommodate bottom, rear, and top discharge. The helical knives of USNR’s Norman Chipper slice uniform chips instead of scraping them from the stock, thus eliminating sawdust, slivers, and oversize split ends. Models handle logs from 8.25” to 22” diameters. This high-capacity log shaver produces top quality shavings and chips from waste logs and log pieces.
The Barko CH6025 whole tree chipper offers upgraded components and an enhanced eight-knife design that contribute to optimal operating efficiency. Featuring Barko’s patented ConeHead drum technology, the chipper provides an innovative slicing action that uses less energy and produces consistent, superior quality chips. The CH6025 is powered by a 520-horsepower turbo diesel engine with a 150-gallon fuel tank, and offers a 22-inch-diameter whole tree capacity. The unit’s infeed table with replaceable floor measures 10’ long by 35” wide. One horizontal and two vertical hydraulically-powered feed rollers consume mounds of limbs and tops quickly, and large blades on the drum ends throw chips forcefully into collection trucks to pack in more material, thereby increasing efficiency and productivity.
Peterson Pacific Corp has the new 5050H stationary, electric delimber debarker disc chipper that produces high quality low bark content chips for wood pulp and pellets, processing whole trees in one continuous operation. The 5050H, equipped with a large feed throat accepts up to 56 cm diameter single tree or multiple smaller stems. It can be configured with several optional sheave sizes to make precisely the chip needed. Chipping rates up to 136 tonnes per hour can be achieved depending on chip size and wood characteristics.
Peterson Pacific Corp’s new 6310B drum chipper is suited for high volume biomass producers who have a wide variety of feed material from logs up to 91 cm in diameter to brush and small feedstock. At 86,000 lbs the track-mounted 6310B is designed for operations requiring high production and frequent moves between jobs. The 6310B drum chipper is powered by a 1050 HP C27 Caterpillar engine or an optional Tier 1V engine. The 6310B has two drum configurations for standard biomass chips or micro-chips.
Like all Kadant Carmanah chippers, the 96” Whole Log Chipper is designed to produce high quality chips with a focus on machine longevity and simplified maintenance. The shear pin protected anvil reduces operational costs by limiting damage caused by tramp metal and rock hits. The heavy-duty base is constructed from thick steel sections to minimize flexing under heavy load and permit close knife-to-anvil clearances.
