Experts predict 12 sawmills will close in BC in 10 years

Forest industry analysts expect the equivalent of 12 sawmills will close in B.C. over the next decade due to shrinking fibre supply in the province.

Analysts, including regular CFI contributor Russ Taylor, Managing Director, FEA Canada (Wood Markets), told the Vancouver Sun the reduction in timber harvest could spell direct job losses of more than 2,000.
