Fatal accident at Irving sawmill
June 30, 2016 – A 28-year-old man is dead after being hit by a front-end loader at the J.D. Irving Limited Sawmill in Valley, N.S., on Monday.

The Department of Labour’s Occupational Health and Safety division is investigating. A stop work order placed on the front-end loader has now been lifted, however a stop work order remains in place on the area where the incident occurred.
The sawmill was closed on Tuesday, and counselling services have been made available to employees.
