Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR), a partnership between Tŝideldel First Nation and Tl’etinqox Government, has released a new five-part video series to shed light on the often-overlooked benefits of forestry. The series aims to address misconceptions about forestry practices and highlight their positive impacts on the Cariboo Chilcotin region’s traditional territories.

The first video, titled The Social Focus of Forestry, explores how forestry initiatives are enhancing social benefits and creating meaningful employment for First Nations communities.

Percy Guichon, executive director of CCR, emphasizes the importance of educating the public about the multifaceted advantages of forestry, including wildfire risk reduction, habitat enrichment, and contributions to B.C.’s bioeconomy.
