June 10, 2022  By CFI Staff

Forest Nova Scotia (FNS) has announced that executive director Jeff Bishop is leaving the association on June 30 to start the next chapter in his career.

The organization is in the process of finding Bishop’s successor.

“We’re really sorry to be losing Jeff but wishing him all the best in his new position,” said lan Johnstone, FNS board president.

Bishop joined FNS as communications coordinator in 2007 and took over the role of executive director in 2013.

“I can not express enough thanks to the leadership and members of Forest Nova Scotia for the opportunities I’ve had over the last 14 years,” Bishop said.

“While I’m stepping away from the forest sector for my next challenge, I will continue to be a champion for the role [that] forestry, its people and our forests play in our province.”
