Forestry worker’s body recovered

Dec. 12, 2014, Crofton, B.C. – A missing forestry worker has been found dead two days after he was to deliver a shipment of wood chips.

Global News is reporting that 66-year-old Perry Thomas couldn’t be found half an hour after he arrived at the Catalyst Paper Mill in Crofton, located 70km NNW of Victoria.

Thomas was found Thursday in a container near where he was to dump his load of chips.

WorkSafeBC and the RCMP are investigating.
