Former Sino-Forest CFO faces hearing
March 3, 2016 – The former Chief Financial Officer for Sino-Forest will face a disciplinary hearing from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPAO) thanks to a ruling from an Ontario judge.

According to an article from The Globe and Mail, David Horsely believed that he was protected from such a hearing based on the restrictions of previously negotiated settlements involved the collapse of Sino-Forest. However, Justice Geoffrey Morawetz of the Ontario Superior Court disagreed.
The CPAO is seeking a suspension and fine against Mr. Horsely because he “failed to maintain the good reputation of the profession”.
