The acquisition will enable Barko to significantly expand customer options in the forestry, bio-energy, recycling and right-of-way maintenance (ROW) markets while complementing Barko’s existing line of industry leading material handlers.

Norco currently manufactures products under the PUMA Equipment brand headquartered in Oconto Falls, WI. PUMA builds 4 and 6-wheel forwarders, track harvesters, processing heads, and firewood processors that are both durable and technologically advanced.

“The completion of the Norco acquisition represents the latest step in our strategic plan to aggressively grow our forestry business offerings,” said Eric Blashford, Barko President. “More and more customers want to work with a single company that can take them from harvesting to processing. By adding Norco, we are well positioned as a leader in forestry products.”

In addition to Norco’s PUMA line, Norco also offers a full line of wood processing equipment from hand-fed brush chippers, high horsepower whole-tree chippers and grinders under the Dynamic Manufacturing label. Dynamic equipment features a revolutionary patented conehead chipping drum that provides more efficient operation than competitive machines.
“The combination of PUMA, Dynamic and Barko’s products, sales and product support creates an expanded offering for our customers, and further strengthens our global dealer network.” said Steve Kiefer, Barko Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
