Forestry staff warned to avoid cabin

Oct 3, 2013, Edmonton – Alberta forestry staff have been warned to avoid a wooded area in the vicinity of Misery Mountain and Karr Creek after a land-claim dispute led to armed threats. A group claiming to be freemen-on-the-land have occupied a cabin about 80 km south of Grande Prairie and have been brandishing weapons, according to a trapper who spoke with Sun News.
