Logset appoints new managing director

July 6, 2017 - Master of Business Administration MBA, engineer Jussi Malmi, 47, has been appointed Logset Oy’s Managing Director starting Sept. 1, 2017.

Malmi is an MBA and an engineer. He comes to Logset from Fortaco Oy, where he worked as senior vice-president. At Fortaco, he was responsible for the manufacturing of work machine cabins and for the installation and assembly business.

Malmi has a solid experience in the forest machine industry. For several years, he held senior management positions within John Deere Forestry and Timberjack in Finland and Canada, the latest position being General Manager for John Deere Forestry during 2010-2013.

“I’m very happy about returning to the forest machine industry and joining the competent team of Logset. The company is at an interesting turning point. The new dealerships, together with the recently launched products, create a strong base from which we can implement the company’s growth strategy and offer our customers even better and more comprehensive services,” Malmi said.

Logset’s Board of Directors is pleased to have Malmi as the company´s new managing director.
