Silvana releases new chain sharpener

Oct. 7, 2013, Montreal —Among the new machines on display at September's three-day Démo Forêt event in Dolbeau-Mistassini, QC was the new Triplematic Chain Sharpener, Silvana's newest fully automatic saw chain sharpener from Markusson.

The Triplematic builds on the successes of the Grindomatic V12 and the 3/4" chain specialist Combimatic. The Triplematic is an efficient, fully automatic saw chain sharpening machine which grinds the cutting link at three key points—cutting edge, raker, and gullet—resulting in a razor sharp and faster cutting chain that increases productivity and the chain's capacity for staying on the bar, while also helping to reduce splitting and the loss of valuable timber.

Designed to bring optimized efficiency to a contractor's forestry operation by helping to ensure that a harvester can perform to its maximum capacity, the Triplematic has a high grinding capability that won't overheat and turn teeth blue, potentially tripling the life-expectancy of most sizes of saw chains.

The new Triplematic is standard-equipped with many features and innovations, including its stand, a link counter, 110V to 12V converter pack, and a unique new air-powered system to stretch the chain for precision sharpening.
