Boucher is involved with his family’s sawmill business, Boucher Bros. Lumber Ltd., in Nampa. The business has been an active contributor to the Peace Country for nearly 35 years.

“It’s a real honour to be elected as Chair of the AFPA and to be able to serve our industry,” said Boucher. “We have such a great story to tell. I am going to be focused on informing people about our impact on the economy, commitment to innovation, and exceptional record of environmental stewardship.”

AFPA President and CEO Brady Whittaker welcomed Boucher to the position. “Jason brings a lot of enthusiasm and expertise to our Association. His energy and youthful perspective will be valuable. He represents both the future of the industry, and the tremendous legacy that family-run sawmills have in Alberta.”

The AFPA is celebrating its 70th Anniversary this year. Under Boucher’s leadership, the AFPA Board will focus on promoting the industry and driving innovation to create a prosperous future.
