CFI up for business writing award

May 9, 2014, Toronto - Canadian Forest Industries has been nominated for its second KRW Award for excellence in business writing.

May 8, 2014  By  Scott Jamieson

The nomination is for the upfront editorial page in the May/June 2013 issue called A Proof is a Proof. Penned by editorial director Scott Jamieson, the editorial discusses Greenpeace’s hot and cold relationship with Resolute Forest Products, as well as the NGO’s use of faulty evidence regarding Resolute’s supposed breaking of the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement.

This is CFI’s second nomination under the prestigious national awards program. In 2008 the magazine won gold in the best resource/manufacturing category for its cover story on Finland’s sawmilling sector and lessons for Canada.

The Kenneth R Wilson Awards is a national program to recognize and celebrate excellence in business writing. They are presented annually at MagNet, a gathering of over 1,000 magazine professionals in Toronto each June.
