InterSaw a success

Oct. 7, 2014, Montréal  – Thousands of industry leaders came together under one roof for InterSaw and BiomassExpo, which took place at Montreal's internationally renowned Olympic Stadium, September 26-27, 2014.

This event was co-located with the inaugural edition of Canada Woodworking East at Olympic Stadium. Combined, the shows welcomed close to 4,000 buyers, with 1,620 walking the floor for InterSaw/BiomassExpo and 2,209 for Canada Woodworking East.

"Our first day was very busy and exhibitors were impressed by the quality of visitors present," said Shawn Murphy, Show Manager. "Saturday was slightly quieter, but with serious customers in attendance. Overall, exhibitors were pleased with the event, with reports of signed contracts in hand and deals being closed on the floor."

"The quality of visitors was just excellent," said Jessy Ross with VAB Solutions. "InterSaw helped VAB Solutions reconnect with business partners and meet new customers. It helped us move forward with two projects that we had started and I think we will see other projects as a direct result of this show."

"Our company is proud to have taken part in InterSaw, a major international event," said Dany Brousseau with Liebherr Canada. "InterSaw provided us with increased visibility, giving us an opportunity to meet with both existing and potential customers and it was a pleasure to talk to them about the different products and services that we offer. Another hugely successful tradeshow!''

"It has been a pleasure to participate at this 2014 edition of InterSaw Montreal!" said Damien Meyer with LINCK GmbH. "Well organized, great location, impressive environment within the Olympic Stadium. Well balanced attendance with interesting and interested professionals. Great show!"

"As a General Manager of spruce framing lumber mills, InterSaw was a great opportunity to meet with ‎several sawmill equipment suppliers in a short period of time," said Jerome Pelletier with J.D. Irving Ltd. "The volume of equipment displayed allowed me to compare what the suppliers have to offer in terms of new technologies. It was also an event where I had a chance to widen my network of people in the forest business industry."

Buyers travelled from across Canada and the northeastern United States to attend the show. Visitors enjoyed the beautiful city of Montreal, and were thrilled by the size and iconic stature of Olympic Stadium.
