Intersaw to include biomass expo

May 23, 2014 - InterSaw 2014 has expanded to include a biomass expo. The trade show is geared for the sawmilling and secondary woodworking industry to be held in Montreal in September. It will be combined with Canada Woodworking East and held at the Olympic Stadium and together, the two shows are expected to attract 5,000 visitors and 250 exhibitors.

Thousands of potential buyers will walk the show floor to see the latest biomass equipment available in today's market, including grinders, pellet mills, fibre dryers, boilers, conveyors, silos, packaging, mill yard equipment, and more!

"We are happy to support this joint event in Montreal marrying the sawmilling sector with the emerging biomass industry - it's a natural fit," said Scott Jamieson, Group Publisher for Canadian Biomass magazine, the media sponsor for the biomass expo. "Sawmillers have the fibre access as well as the energy and market diversification needs, and the biomass sector has a role to play around both. There are events in the biomass sector but no major equipment expos in this part of Canada. Between the sawmilling sector, and the potential for bioenergy in eastern Canada and the northeastern US, we look forward to making the most of this opportunity for Canadian Biomass."
