Fire at Resolute Forest Products sawmill

Firefighters spent nearly four hours fighting the fire, which was burning in a sawdust bin when they arrived on scene early Thursday morning. After soaking the bin’s contents, firefighters dumped them on the ground and doused the last of the flames.

In a press release, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue credited Resolute staff with being quick to get the hydraulics working after they were compromised by intense heat.
