Freeland optimistic SLA is possible
Aug. 14, 2017 - Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland says she believes a mutually beneficial softwood lumber agreement between Canada and the U.S. is possible and the outlines of such an agreement are in place.

Freeland told reporters last week via teleconference there is no expected date to resolve the ongoing dispute, but that she believes an agreement is achievable.
