NRCan releases State of Canada’s Forests Report
Sept. 26, 2016 - Natural Resources Canada has released its annual State of Canada’s Forests Report that provides a national snap shot of Canada’s forests and forest industry.

Climate change is the theme of this year’s report, which explores the impacts climate change is having on Canada’s forests through fire, bugs and disease; how the forest sector and communities are adapting through sustainable management practices and innovative uses of wood and wood products; and how forests can be part of Canada’s climate change solution.
“Canadians can be proud of our forest sector, which is one of the world’s leaders in sustainable forest management,” James Carr, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, said in a news release. “There can be no solution to climate change that does not include Canada’s forests and forest sector.”
