Province blamed for mill closures in BC Interior
Sept. 9, 2016 - British Columbia scrapping the sustained harvest yield for communities a number of years ago has led to the closure of several mills in the BC Interior, community members argued at a Regional District of North Okanagan meeting this week.

According to The Vernon Morning Star, several officials blamed provincial policies for the loss of jobs in the area, and called for a revamp of timber processing rules.
