Changes to B.C. OHS policy

May 28, 2015 – WorkSafeBC has announced two new interim Occupational Health and Safety policies, implemented as a result of the passage of Bill 9.

Bill 9, which received Royal Assent on May 14th, introduced a series of changes to the Workers Compensation Act.

The two interim policies set in place by WorkSafeBC relate to the stop work orders policy and employer incident investigations.

The interim policies set in place will be in affect until the end of 2015. They will be replaced by final policies that will be determined following public consultation.
