J.D. Irving to hire more than 8,600 over three years
Jan. 12, 2017 - Forestry company J.D. Irving announced Wednesday that it plans to hire more than 8,600 people between 2017 and 2019 in both Canada and the United States.
The company says most of the jobs will be needed in Atlantic Canada (nearly 90 per cent).
"The forecast is the result of retirements, anticipated business growth, and normal workforce turnover," according to the company.
J.D. Irving made 10, 233 new hires from 2014 to 2016. The company employs approximately 15,000 people.
