John Deere hosts 2018 American Loggers Council meeting

July 25, 2018 - John Deere welcomed 60 forestry industry professionals from across the country for the summer 2018 American Loggers Council (ALC) Board of Directors Meeting. Held at the Deere & Co. World Headquarters in Moline, Ill., the yearly event offered attendees networking and educational opportunities, as well as a tour of John Deere facilities and time to operate John Deere equipment.

“We were proud to welcome the ALC to John Deere and host the 2018 summer meeting,” said Brandon O’Neal, global product marketing manager at John Deere. “As a proud sponsor of the ALC, we are committed to supporting its mission of representing independent logging contractors. In the challenging forestry business, it is important to come together as one group to further the industry. We are thrilled that we were able to host this group and make their experience enjoyable.”

The meeting began on Thursday, July 19, as guests arrived onsite and traveled to Deere & Company World Headquarters. A cocktail reception and building tour capped off an exciting first day. The second day featured tours of John Deere Davenport Works and the John Deere Parts Distribution Center, additional to operation time at the Coal Valley Demonstration Site. The rewarding event finished with the ALC Meeting on Saturday morning.
