Kalesnikoff hires senior business development manager to grow mass timber products

West Kootenay, B.C.-based mass timber company, Kalesnikoff, has hired a new senior business development manager, Andrew Stiffman, to join their team starting in April.

Andrew Stiffman joins the Kalesnikoff team with extensive experience and expertise in building science, development management and hands-on high-performance construction. Stiffman will bring a technical lens and creative vision to the company in order to effectively lead multidisciplinary project teams and achieve complex project goals at Kalesnikoff. With ambitious design objectives, Stiffman will be a major asset to the company and Kalesnikoff is thrilled to dive headfirst into upcoming projects and inspiring mass timber collaborations.

“Throughout my career I’ve led a variety of interdisciplinary teams to design and deliver projects that pushed the envelope of what can be achieved in wood construction. I really enjoy the team-oriented dynamic and hands-on learning that these types of projects demand to be successful. I’m excited to join the passionate wood experts at Kalesnikoff as we fully launch our exceptional new mass timber products very soon,” says Stiffman.

Andrew has diverse project experience ranging from single-family homes to $1 million-plus ground-up developments (including the largest passive house residential project in Canada), for clients ranging from individuals to government organizations to institutional pension fund investors. His experience as both a development manager and a general contractor will make Stiffman a well rounded and extensively knowledge asset to the company. In his new role at Kalesnikoff, Stiffman’s focus will be on collaborating with the sales team and project managers to identify projects that best fit the company and ensure successful completion.

Andrew completed an undergraduate degree in economics and environment at McGill, an MA in building science at Ryerson and an architecture certificate at Harvard University.
