Lumber prouction up 7.5%

In August, monthly lumber production by Canadian sawmills increased 7.5 percent to 4,682.3 thousand cubic meters.
Compared with the same month last year, lumber production increased 5.6 percent, according to the latest numbers from Statistics Canada.
In August, sawmills shipped 4,566.1 thousand cubic meters of lumber, a decrease of 3.1% from July.
