Millar Western in talks to sell Boyle lumber operation

December 1, 2015 - Millar Western today announced that it is in advanced discussions to sell its Boyle, Alta. lumber operation, including timber quotas, to Northland Forest Products Ltd.

The terms of a transaction are not final, and the details of a transaction will only be provided if and when the parties enter into a definitive agreement in respect of a transaction. If a definitive agreement is entered into, Millar Western currently anticipates that a transaction would be completed before year-end. Until such time, there can be no assurance that a definitive agreement will be executed or that a transaction will be completed. Moreover, the closing of any transaction would be subject to Government of Alberta approval and other customary conditions.
