N.S. accepting applications for $50M Forestry Innovation Transition Trust

The government of Nova Scotia has announced that they will begin to accept applications for the $50 million Forestry Innovation Transition Trust on Friday, July 31, reports Global News.
First announced in February following the closure of Northern Pulp, the provincial government created the Forestry Innovation Transition Trust to continue to advance the transition and development of the provinces forestry sector. The trust can be accessed by companies, organizations or post-secondary institutions working and researching in the forestry and biological resources sectors.
“The trust may be used by companies, organizations or post-secondary institutions working and researching in the forestry and biological resources sectors,” the province said in a press release. “A three-member trustee board will review submissions and make spending decisions.”
