N.B. forestry plan details released
Dec. 10, 2014, Fredericton – As promised, New Brunswick Premier Brian Gallant has released the details of the forestry signed by the former Progressive Conservative government.
According to a report form the CBC, Natural Resources Minister Denis Landry tabled the document in the legislature Wednesday, and then posted the documents to the department’s website.
The documents released by the government included the Forest Management Agreement, as well as memorandums of agreements with several companies including Twin Rivers Ltd., J.D. Irving Ltd., and Chaleur Sawmills Ltd. Information was also released regarding wood allocations for 15 First Nations communities.
