Allied Systems Company, parent company for Wagner Logstackers, has now delivered the first of its New Generation Logstackers into Canada. The Four Wheel Drive, 60-ton operating capacity model L4120, shipped to British Columbia in March 2019, is the newest release in the New Generation series of reconceived single pass Log Handling machines that has catapulted the Wagner product into the 21st century with a host of customer coveted features.

“This game changing redesign retains all the strengths of the traditional Wagner Logstacker, including the durability that these machines are known for. All of the new features that we’ve added make this the most advanced and productive Wagner Logstacker we’ve ever manufactured” said Ron Vandlac, Territory Manager for Wagner. “Maintenance staff are going to love the simplicity of the design, like the lighted Ground Level Service Bay, that allows you to perform routine maintenance from one easy location while in a standing position. No more crawling under the machine.”

For those who only remember the Wagner Logstackers that shipped prolifically throughout North America over decades gone by, the New Generation series Wagner Logstackers are a huge step forward in design and functionality. Features like twice the hoist speed of older legacy models, double reduction planetary axles and wet brakes for longer service life, lighted stairways for easy and safe access on and off the machine, an easily accessible and newly designed cooling package, plus a more spacious and comfortable cab with the industry’s best visibility, make these New Generation machines the most modern purpose built log handling machines ever conceived. And now, with optional eco-friendly hydraulic oil and a virtually leak-free hydraulic design, the Wagner can be operated in environmentally sensitive areas without concern.

“Most people remember Wagner as these colossal machines, slow yet powerful, designed only for lifting tree length wood,” added Vandlac. “And while there may have been some truth to that back in the day, our New Generation machines are designed to handle all wood lengths. And because they are now faster and more nimble in every way, it makes them a more productive and economical wood handling solution than a big wheel loader that costs virtually the same but has less than half the service life.”
